This position is responsible for the continued development of the USALLIANCE Financial Specialized Lending program. This includes the development of loan products and loan sources supporting the secured financing of recreational aircraft, boats and motorized RV’s.
Act as the face of the Specialized Lending department to USALLIANCE executive management, industry players, and our members.
Create complete Specialized Lending business plans to align with USALLIANCE’s strategy and values. Work with senior management to develop profitable Specialized Lending programs within a defined market that meets internal profitability measures and overall growth expectations; development and oversight of new Specialized Lending products.
Collaborate with senior management developing a pricing structure and dissemination to respective channels on a periodic basis.
Develop a Credit Union Industry Specialty Lending Strategy that could result in greater industry leadership or a CUSO resource.
Build an organic business solutions or markets that could include a variety of options such as additional partnerships, acquisitions, alliances or related. Ideally these solutions should position USAlliance for the ever-changing markets due to evolving technology, economy, demographics, and related.
Work with internal and external marketing resource to develop the Specialized Lending Marketing Strategy and other programs to acquire business volume. This includes indirect and direct acquisition channels as well as the use of software technology to generate loan volume.
Develop volume and funding forecast for the business.
Manage participation in industry shows for respective collaterals to generate direct loan volume.
Continue to develop and manage existing Specialized Loan Sources. This includes educating respective brokers and dealers regarding collaterals, loan terms, documentation requirements and the groups funding process.
Managing a comprehensive Broker Management Program. For example: Control and reconcile fee/participation payments to indirect loan sources, including the recovery of such fees related to early loan termination. Facilitate larger transactions through the approval process. This includes direct involvement as a liaison with underwriters, loan brokers, dealers and members.
Responsible for the overall management, development, and operations of Specialty Lending primacy office and remote teams and resources. Build an effective team of leaders and staff by providing guidance and coaching.
Ensure efficient and compliant day-to-day Specialized Lending activities and operations program with a focus on continuous improvement with member experience focus always at the forefront.
Ensure alignment of staff, practices, and policies with the credit union’s strategy and values.
Direct knowledge and experience within the recreational marine, aircraft and motorized RV lending space. This includes basic understanding of sales management, underwriting, processing and portfolio management practices deployed in the recreational lending market.
The candidate’s experience with the financing of recreational assets including FAA secured aircraft, US Coast Guard documented vessels and larger motorized recreational vehicles is preferred.
Background and strong interpersonal skills in managing mid-size staffs.
Sales and program management experience.
Knowledge of indirect and direct lending.
In-depth customer service experience.
Adept at utilizing technology and various software platforms to process information.
The candidate must demonstrate interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills (verbal & written).
The candidate should be detail oriented with the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
Proficient in MS Office.
